Rental Agreement


The following is an agreement for the rental use of the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company social hall. The undersigned agrees to the following items:

1. The renter is responsible for any damages to property belonging to the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company, any personal items brought in and personal injury to the renter or their guests during the time of the rental.
2. The rental of the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company social hall is not to be used for the selling of goods, pay dances, or any activity which the officers of the fire company deem inappropriate.
3. The rental of the hall includes the use of the "meeting room", restrooms, and parking lot (rear of building). The kitchen may be rented for an
additional $25.00. All other areas of the building are off limits-NO EXCEPTIONS. The telephone is for emergency use only-no long distance calls are to be made. Any long distance calls made during the time of the rental will be charged to the renter upon receipt of the bill. Please limit incoming and outgoing calls, as the phone is also used in emergency calls as well. If the kitchen is also rented, use will be limited to use in terms of stove, refrigerator, sink, coffee maker, microwave and selected utensils agreed upon. Roaster use will be an extra $5.00 per roaster. The BRAVFC is not responsible for any injuries which may occur with the use of the kitchen or its utensils, or appliances.
4. A
$75.00 security deposit is required prior to rental. Upon completion of the rental, the hall will be inspected for damages. If damages occur, the deposit is forfeit and any replacement costs will be charged to the renter to repair the damages or lost/stolen items. The hall must be cleaned to the state it was prior to rental or the deposit is forfeit. All garbage, decorations, etc. must be removed.
5. The rental of the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company social hall may be terminated at any time during the rental if any officers or members of the fire company deem the activity in progress is inappropriate or dangerous to the renter, their guests, fire company property or persons. If this occurs, payment in full for the rental is still due and the deposit is forfeit.
6. Hall rental may not exceed midnight unless prior arrangements have been made to the contrary.
7. Alcoholic beverages are not to be taken outside the social hall due to liquor laws.
8. DECORATIONS: These cannot be tacked, stapled, taped, etc. to the blue/gray paneled areas in the "meeting room". Fastened decorations only to the hardwood surfaces. All decorations must be removed entirely.
9. CLEAN-UP: Cleaning supplies are provided. Trash bags are provided for clean-up only, not use in the rental (you must provide your own). Floors must be swept and mopped. Tables and chairs must be wiped off and returned to there original position in the "meeting room" in accordance with the diagram on the wall. All trash must be cleaned up and any utensils and/or appliances used in the rental must be cleaned.
10. Rental Fee:
a. $75.00 security deposit
b. $75.00 for one day rental only
c. $150.00 for weekend rental (Friday 6pm- Sunday 4pm)
d. $25.00 for kitchen use
e. $5.00 per roaster used
